Project Manager

Vaco is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead engineering projects. This role will oversee project planning, execution, and completion, ensuring alignment with company objectives, commitments, and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, manage, and execute manufacturing projects from concept through completion, ensuring milestones, timelines, and budgets are achieved.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, EHS) to ensure project alignment and workflow integration.
• Develop and maintain project charters, schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and resource plans.
• Oversee equipment installations, process changes, new product introductions, and production line optimization initiatives.
• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Track KPIs, project performance, and production impacts, escalating risks and roadblocks as needed.
• Manage vendor relationships, equipment suppliers, and contract manufacturers.
• Ensure all projects meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Drive communication across departments to ensure clarity on project expectations, changes, and progress.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and propose improvement strategies that enhance throughput, quality, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 5+ years of Project Management experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven ability to lead projects from concept to implementation

Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Project and Office Suite. SolidWorks experience is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• PMP Certification preferred.

• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing processes (e.g., sheet metal fabrication, extrusion, injection molding) is highly preferred.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
