Vaco is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead engineering projects. This role will oversee project planning, execution, and completion, ensuring alignment with company objectives, commitments, and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, manage, and execute manufacturing projects from concept through completion, ensuring milestones, timelines, and budgets are achieved.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, EHS) to ensure project alignment and workflow integration.
  • Develop and maintain project charters, schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and resource plans.
  • Oversee equipment installations, process changes, new product introductions, and production line optimization initiatives.
  • Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Track KPIs, project performance, and production impacts, escalating risks and roadblocks as needed.
  • Manage vendor relationships, equipment suppliers, and contract manufacturers.
  • Ensure all projects meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Drive communication across departments to ensure clarity on project expectations, changes, and progress.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and propose improvement strategies that enhance throughput, quality, and cost efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of Project Management experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven ability to lead projects from concept to implementation
Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and Office Suite. SolidWorks experience is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing processes (e.g., sheet metal fabrication, extrusion, injection molding) is highly preferred.

With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
