Construction Projects Coordinator
Virgina | Onsite Role
1+ Year Contract | Mon–Thurs (6 AM–4 PM)
$35–$40/hr + $100/day Per Diem (Non-Local)
Spencer Ogden is supporting a major power-generation facility within the regulated utilities sector. We are seeking a Construction Projects Coordinator to help plan, organize, and schedule both routine maintenance and capital project activities within a highly structured, compliance-driven environment. This position plays a key role in keeping plant operations efficient, safe, and aligned with weekly and long-range schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day maintenance support activities and project-related work across operations, maintenance, engineering, planning, and safety teams.
- Attend daily/weekly work management meetings and ensure scheduled activities align with site priorities and resource availability.
- Develop and maintain integrated work schedules, ensuring proper staffing levels, equipment availability, and workflow sequencing.
- Support schedule integration during peak project seasons and outage planning cycles.
- Identify schedule conflicts, resource constraints, and risk drivers; assist in developing mitigation strategies.
- Support emergent work requests and help incorporate them into existing plans with minimal operational disruption.
- Promote a strong safety culture and foster clear, consistent communication across departments.
Required Experience
- 5+ years coordinating maintenance, planning, or scheduling activities within power generation, heavy industrial, or other highly regulated environments.
- Understanding of work control processes, plant procedures, and standardized scheduling practices.
- Experience working with scheduling software or LAN-based project planning tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proven ability to organize complex workloads, track progress, and develop practical scheduling solutions.
Preferred Background
- Experience in high-reliability environments such as power plants, industrial facilities, or military programs.
- Exposure to outage scheduling or large-scale maintenance cycles.
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks, negotiate schedule adjustments, and support leadership decision-making.
