About the Job: As the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, and other issues while ensuring a positive work environment.
- Nurture a positive working environment and promote organizational culture.
- Manage and oversee the organization's employee benefits programs and ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices.
- Handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality and integrity.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Develop and execute best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Maintain new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Initiate and maintain employee benefits for all personnel.
- Assist in employee terminations and perform exit interviews.
- Lead project to update employee handbook and continuously maintain.
- Schedule and maintain personnel files for safety and other functional training.
- Monitor and ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, reviews and modifies HR policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate recommended changes in policy, practice, and resources to senior management.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands on human resources experience required.
- Union and non unionized experience is helpful.
- Ability to work independently - this position reports to the President.
- Ability to work onsite full time.
Salary: $75,000+, based on experience
