Role Description


This is a full-time on-site role for an Investment Banking Analyst located in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Investment Banking Analyst will work closely with senior staff to conduct industry and company research, build financial models, prepare pitch books and management presentations, and perform due diligence and market and competitive analysis. The Investment Banking Analyst will also be involved in transaction execution and relationship management with clients.


Responsibilities:


  • Build complex financial valuation models, perform detailed equity analysis, and prepare other ad hoc financial analyses
  • Assist in preparing and presenting client discussion materials
  • Engage in company and equity-oriented research and due diligence processes
  • Support new business development efforts through coverage of topical situations and industries
  • Monitor and analyze financial information (economic, capital markets and corporate developments) to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions
  • Develop a deep understanding of relevant situations and be an active contributor to deal teams
  • Establish and maintain the respect and trust of clients

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Equity Capital Markets or related relevant experience preferred
  • Dedication to performing at a high level in a team-oriented environment
  • A strong understanding of, and demonstrated interest in industry trends and relevant transactions
  • Basic familiarity with equity purchase agreements and common terms
  • Prior work experience with accounting, financial, and market data, databases, or analysis tools (FactSet, CapIQ, Bloomberg), Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong financial modeling, finance, valuation and accounting skills
  • Strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple responsibilities at once
  • Desire to take initiative and have an increasing level of responsibility on projects
  • Aspiration to continuously develop skillset through transactional experience


Compensation: Salary range $70-100k
