Overview:
Mackenzie Stuart is partnered with a leading, PE-backed Dental Services Organization headquartered in the Southeast to appoint a Regional Operations Director overseeing their multi-site specialty division. This leadership role is ideal for an operations-focused executive experienced in healthcare delivery across multiple locations and committed to driving both operational excellence and regional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead regional operations across multiple specialty sites, taking responsibility for financial performance, regulatory compliance, and patient care standards.
- Drive strategic initiatives, collaborate with office managers, providers, and clinical leaders to implement best practices and ensure consistent high-quality care.
- Oversee regional budgeting, expenditure authorization, and financial reporting to meet organizational goals.
- Guide risk management and internal/external audit processes, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and quality standards (Medicare, OSHA, etc.).
- Manage facilities improvements, expansion projects, and integration of new acquisitions or practices into the division.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of regional staff, supporting professional development and maintaining a positive practice culture.
- Maintain open communications between regional practices and the central office; provide field support and coaching to practice leaders.
- Monitor and optimize staffing, oversee payroll and charge reviews, and ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Travel regularly throughout the region (50–75%) to ensure operational alignment and support site growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- 3–5+ years' experience managing multi-site operations in healthcare or dental services.
- Proven track record in P&L management, staff leadership, and successful implementation of process improvements.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and strategic execution skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, growth-focused environment and travel extensively as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
