Assistant Project Manager - Miami
About the Role:
Our client, a well-established electrical contractor in Miami, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects. This role is ideal for someone who's worked their way up in the field or currently holds a junior PM/coordinator position and wants to grow into full project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, and execution of electrical projects.
- Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and material procurement.
- Help manage project budgets, labor tracking, and cost control.
- Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and GC partners.
- Attend site meetings and support daily project reporting and documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, on schedule, and to contract specifications.
- Help enforce quality and safety standards on all job sites.
- Provide general administrative and project coordination support across multiple projects.
Required Experience:
- 2–5 years' experience with an electrical contractor (field or office).
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and terminology.
- Experience supporting commercial, industrial, or data center projects (preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and project documents.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore or similar software a plus.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
