Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled, experienced, and mission-driven People Operations Manager who shares our passion for evangelism and wants to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about evangelism and committed to fostering a thriving, Christ-centered workplace culture.


The People Operations Manager serves as the primary representative of the People function in their office location, playing a crucial strategic role in helping develop and implement global initiatives. They ensure initiatives are contextually appropriate and effective. Acting as a steward rather than a direct line manager, the People Operations Manager facilitates the alignment between the local team and CV's four global functions: Mission, Technology, Finance & Governance, and People.

This role is centered on collaboration, facilitation, and operational support, ensuring that local staff are connected, informed, and equipped to fulfill CV's mission. The People Operations Manager also acts as the local liaison for external partnerships and as a vital link between the local team and global leadership, fostering unity, operational excellence, and spiritual formation across all levels of the organization.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Lead local implementation of global People initiatives, including onboarding, offboarding, team rhythms, wellbeing, and celebrations in ways that align with the local context.
  • Partner with global People leaders to design and run programs that nurture staff culture, spiritual growth, and community, fostering a healthy, engaging work culture that reflects CV's values and supports belonging, mission alignment, and team cohesion.
  • Liaise between local teams and global functions (People, Mission, Finance and Governance, and Technology) to ensure operational alignment and resource delivery, while communicating local needs, risks, and opportunities upward and providing contextual and cultural insight to inform global strategy, policy, and implementation.
  • Oversee the experience, functionality, and appearance of the local office or facility, ensuring hospitality, safety, and accessibility.
  • Manage relationships and contracts with facilities and service vendors (e.g. tech support, maintenance) and maintain relationships with local external stakeholders (e.g. service providers, churches, partner organisations) to support operational and mission goals.
  • Ensure local compliance with relevant policies, including HR, health and safety, data protection, and documentation.
  • Lead local administrative or infrastructure staff (where applicable), providing relational and values-driven oversight.
  • Manage local budget related to office operations, staff events, team activities, and minor capital expenses.
  • Act as the first point of contact for local operational challenges or conflicts, resolving where possible and escalating appropriately.
  • As part of a global organisation, you will be required to collaborate across time zones, which may involve out-of-hours availability.

Skills, Experience and Education


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in operations, office administration, human resources, or related fields. Experience in nonprofit, missions, or ministry settings is preferred.
  • 3+ years of management experience.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment, supporting teams across different departments or reporting structures.
  • Working knowledge of local labor laws and compliance.
  • Experience in international or multicultural environments is highly valued.
  • Follower of Jesus Christ, demonstrating a high level of spiritual maturity and a deep passion for Christian ministry.
