The Department of the Medical Examiner is hiring for an Executive Assistant II in Honolulu! This key role serves as the principal assistant to the Medical Examiner and Deputy Medical Examiner, managing the department's administrative activities, programs, and projects. The Executive Assistant II acts on behalf of leadership in their absence and has authority to implement initiatives, resolve operational issues, streamline processes, and improve overall service delivery.

Experience Requirement
Four (4) years of responsible administrative experience in government or a large business organization.
Applicable Skills

License Requirement
Appropriate valid driver's license, as required.

- Executive Support: Assist and advise the Medical Examiner and Deputy on administrative and operational matters.
- Correspondence Management: Prepare and respond to sensitive or complex inquiries.
- Policy & Operations: Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and operational improvements.
- Department Oversight: Monitor operations, identify improvements, and recommend changes.
- Purchasing & Contracts: Manage department purchases, contracts, and agreements with BFS coordination.
- Facility & Project Management: Oversee maintenance, permits, renovations, relocations, and leases.
- Staff Supervision: Provide oversight to the Administrative Services Officer and designated staff.
- Liaison & Representation: Represent the department in meetings and special projects with governmental and community organizations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Will serve as a Disaster Response worker during declared emergencies.
