Studio Director / Project Manager (Hybrid)

Christina Simon Studio is a national residential design practice working on large-scale renovations and full-home furnishing projects. We are hiring a Studio Director / Project Manager (hybrid) to bring structure, clarity, and executive-level coordination to our growing studio.

This role is ideal for someone with strong operational, project management, or leadership experience—whether from design, architecture, hospitality, creative agencies, luxury retail, production, or corporate environments. You do not need an interior design background; you need the ability to run a complex, fast-moving creative studio with precision and calm.

Responsibilities

Project & Client Management

  • Oversee timelines, budgets, and communication for multiple high-end residential projects
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, vendors, and fabricators
  • Maintain clear documentation, approvals, and decision logs
  • Ensure deliverables are completed on time and with accuracy

Studio Operations

  • Implement and refine systems that keep the creative studio organized and running efficiently
  • Lead weekly internal project reviews and maintain continuity across the team
  • Support the Principal by anticipating needs and providing structured oversight
  • Manage workflow, documentation, calendars, and meeting preparation

Leadership

  • Act as a stabilizing presence and primary operational anchor for the studio
  • Build strong, professional relationships with clients and collaborators
  • Identify risks early and troubleshoot proactively
  • Support a culture of creativity and artistic vision while also exercising clarity and professionalism

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in project management, operations, production, hospitality management, creative agency leadership, or related fields
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills and disciplined follow-through
  • Clear, polished communication style—verbal and written
  • Ability to navigate high-expectation, detail-driven environments
  • Comfort supporting a principal and coordinating across small, specialized teams
  • Familiarity with construction or design processes is helpful but not required

You'll Succeed Here If You Are

  • Interested in working in a non-corporate, creative environment
  • Design inclined and have a sense of aesthetics and taste
  • Systems-driven and highly organized
  • Calm, steady, and solutions-oriented under pressure
  • Fast, proactive, and excellent at anticipating needs
  • Comfortable managing clients with high expectations
  • Collaborative, professional, and self-directed
  • Able to bring order to a creative environment

Compensation

Competitive and commensurate with experience.

Includes salary, performance bonuses, PTO, and health insurance.

This is an on-site leadership role in Austin, TX.
