Project Manager
Seeking an experienced technical Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of multiple technology-oriented initiatives across the firm. Reporting to the Head of Operational Controls & Change Management, this role is responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation of critical projects which include significant technical build and integration. The role provides project support across multiple teams, ensuring project activities are captured, monitored, and addressed. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution
- Manage full project lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment via SDLC best practices.
- Develop and maintain project plans (in concert with stakeholders), timelines, RAID logs, resource allocations, and budgets.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation and enhancement of technology platforms.
- Monitor project activities, ensure adherence to schedules, and mitigate risks.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with internal teams including IT, Risk, Operations, Compliance, Front Office, and Legal to align project objectives.
- Liaise with external vendors to ensure critical project deliveries are captured, understood, and implemented per requirements.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to relevant stakeholders and escalate as needed.
- Conduct project meetings and steering committees to ensure projects are appropriately driven.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business, or related field
- Material experience managing complex technology projects in the financial services industry
- Understanding of financial markets, trading lifecycle, and common software implementation paradigms
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills (including written, verbal, and presentation)
- Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Wrike, Monday, Jira, Smartsheet, etc.)
- Proven delivery of complex projects in challenging environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI, CSM, etc.)
- Strong data presentation & analysis skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to operate within a dynamic environment with many workstream interdependencies
- Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party integrations
