Working with a growing multifamily housing portfolio in New York City, seeking an Asset Management Analyst.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in asset management, property management.
- Basic understanding of multifamily operations; Yardi experience is a plus.
- Within the NYC REGION
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Architecture, Urban Planning, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of affordable housing programs (HPD, HUD, NYCHA) is a plus.
- Familiarity with building compliance and NYC local laws.
- Ability to conduct site visits, identify issues, and propose solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and comfort managing multiple priorities.
- Comfortable engaging with diverse resident communities
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor day-to-day property operations with Property Managers, including occupancy, leasing, rent collections, unit turns, work orders, violations, and subsidy activity.
- Assist in developing and executing plans to increase rental subsidies.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams and vendors to resolve HPD, DOB, ECB, and FDNY violations.
- Partner with the internal construction team on capital improvement planning.
- Ensure assets comply with all local laws and are ready for required inspections.
- Conduct frequent property visits to assess conditions and confirm repair quality.
- Track controllable expenses and support budgeting and variance analysis.
- Identify value-add opportunities and support long-term asset strategies.
- Review and help negotiate vendor and contractor agreements.
- Support cash-flow forecasting with up-to-date operational insights.
- Collaborate across teams to solve problems and maintain efficient operations.
